Also abbreviated as 5FDP<\/b>\u00a0or\u00a0FFDP<\/b>, is an American\u00a0heavy metal<\/a>\u00a0band from\u00a0Las Vegas<\/a>, Nevada, formed in 2005. The band originally consisted of vocalist\u00a0Ivan Moody<\/a>, rhythm guitarist\u00a0Zoltan Bathory<\/a>, lead guitarist Caleb Andrew Bingham, bassist Matt Snell, and drummer\u00a0Jeremy Spencer<\/a>. Bingham was replaced by guitarist\u00a0Darrell Roberts<\/a>\u00a0in 2006, who was then replaced by\u00a0Jason Hook<\/a>\u00a0in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell departed from the band in 2010, and was replaced by Chris Kael in 2011. Spencer then departed the band in 2018 due to recurring back issues, and was replaced by Charlie Engen, making rhythm guitarist Bathory the only remaining founding member of the band. In October 2020, British guitarist Andy James became the band’s lead guitarist, replacing Jason Hook.<\/p>\n Five Finger Death Punch’s debut album\u00a0The Way of the Fist<\/a><\/i>\u00a0was released in 2007, which achieved rapid success and sold over 500,000 copies in the United States. The 2009 follow-up album\u00a0War Is the Answer<\/a><\/i>\u00a0further increased their popularity, selling over 1,000,000 copies and being certified Platinum by the\u00a0RIAA<\/a>, the band’s third album,\u00a0American Capitalist<\/a><\/i>, was released on October 11, 2011, and achieved Platinum status. The following four albums\u2014The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2013),\u00a0The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2013),\u00a0Got Your Six<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2015), and\u00a0And Justice for None<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2018)\u2014have all been certified Platinum or Gold, making Five Finger Death Punch one of the most successful heavy metal bands of the decade.
